from Portland, Oregon manufactures since several decades excellent audio
products for distributed sound systems for fixed installations in churches,
parlament and industries such as airports and cruise ships.
Another business part was to build fine club mixers, the biamp DJ5600 and biamp SCM7600 which are said to be some of the best mixers ever made. End of 1996 biamp decided to discontinue these mixers but PHASE ACOUSTICS has originally packed DJ5600 mixers on stock. We always stock used SCM7600s. Also many spareparts. February 2007.
The biamp mixers were always ahead of time and no other company managed it up today to include so many usefull features in that quality in such compact mixers without any interference between the electronic parts.
The DJ5600 was built in the same way since 1985 and was renamed DJ5001, DJ5500 and then DJ5600. Only the component quality and appearance was changed in the years. In 1985 the mixer had triple EQ per crossfader side, beat indicators and headphone mix functions!
The SCM7600 was an answer to the MP24 mixer and up today the SCM7600 easiliy outperformed and still outperforms it. Ask us for reviews in DJ Times, DMA, ... and many German audio magazines.
The former Advantage SCM7500 and later the renamed and redesigned biamp SCM7600 was one of the first DJ mixers ever with a VCA controlled crossfader which actually worked in the way DJ's wanted. No signal drop in the middle position or delays. The SCM7600 also featured Input Gain Adjustment without Gain controls, later copied by many other companies in mixers like the MP22. Many DJs love the Bass Impact function which is a 20-80Hz dynamic expander which watches the incoming signal quality and improves it on demand. The SC7600 features an assignable Crossfader PLUS Equalizer - which means wherever you fade to - you always have EQ and Input Gain per channel!
All other features like the possibility
of the SCM7600 to mix without any headphones in a closed DJ cabin or radio
station just with the push of a button are too much to explain on this
